Learn to Play

Learn to Skate: Beginner Hockey - Ages 3-16

This beginner class focuses on basic skating skills. Helmets are required but no hockey sticks or pucks are allowed. Hockey skates are recommended. Students in this class learn to skate forward on two feet, glide on one foot and stop. The skater is eligible to advance to the Learn to Play Hockey program after successfully completing these requirements. We suggest Learn to Skate: Beginner for first-time skaters age six and under.

Summer Session: June 27-September 12 (No class on July 4 or September 5)
Fall Session: September 26-December 5 (No class on October 31)

Learn to Play - Ages 4+

This beginner class focuses on basic skating skills. Helmets are required, but no hockey sticks or pucks are allowed. Hockey skates are strongly recommended. Students in this class learn to skate forward on two feet, glide on one foot, and stop. The skater is eligible to advance to the Learn to Play Hockey program after successfully completing these requirements. We suggest Learn to Skate: Beginner for first-time skaters age six and under. Participants may pay for the entire ten week session or pay for each class individually. There will be no pro-rating of the session fee after the second Sunday of the class.

Adult Hockey Drills and Power Skating Ages 17+

The focus of this class will be to teach adults about hockey through game-situation drills and conditioning drills. All levels of adult players are welcome to attend including those new to the sport and those that want to improve their skills.

There is a Pro Shop special for hockey equipment for Learn to Play participants.

What to Wear - Elbow pads, helmet, mouthpiece, hockey skates, stick and gloves, shin guards, neckguard, athletic supporter.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private individual and group hockey lessons are available with our experienced and knowledgeable hockey staff. We offer goal tending instruction with a former professional goalie. Whether you are just beginning or you are an experienced player, our staff can help you reach your full potential.
